Successful trade fair marathon of TRAPO GmbH

Award-winning, innovative and sustainable: automated intralogistics from a single source

Automation solutions for intralogistics are offered by many, the decisive key to success is overall system competence. TRAPO embeds systems tailor-made into the production environment: Hardware and software for conveyor technology, robotics, individual gripper technology, autonomous shuttle transport and control by an ME system come from a single source. The think tank from Gescher-Hochmoor in Westphalia now presented itself with live machine performances at the LogiMAT in Stuttgart and the interpack in Düsseldorf.

It was a marathon that the highly motivated team mastered: with a staggering visitor response, enormous presence in the trade media and concrete inquiries in the triple-digit range. At the same time, it was also a successful debut for TRAPO’s new CSO, Enrico Pes, an industry insider whom customers and colleagues value as a proven expert, developer and persistent problem solver.

LogiMAT started with a big bang for TRAPO: the award for “BEST PRODUCT” for autonomous loading and unloading with the TLS 3600. “It is the love and passion for research & development that drives us,” knows Dr. Thomas Gutwald, Managing Director of TRAPO. “With this prestigious award of the intralogistics industry, we are confirmed and spurred on!”

Downtimes reduced – safety increased

“For decades, we have been striving to reduce truck idle times at the ramp,” said Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolf Michael Scheid, head of the department and jury member, explaining the jury’s decision and praising: “TRAPO offers an improvement for box trucks in general, without special stationary equipment: a step forward. We have an approach that can be used not only at a ramp and that tolerates tolerances in the alignment of the trucks,” praised Scheid for looking ahead.

His jury colleague, trade journalist Jan Kaulfuhs-Berger underlined: “The first favorite from the loading technology is the TRAPO loading system TLS 3600 for automated loading of box trucks with Euro pallets. The user benefits: Increased safety and time savings.” The TLS acts automatically between the warehouse and the loading bay. Kaulfuhs-Berger praises the avoidance of personal accidents in the loading zone. The monitoring and control of the shuttles via the ME system TIM (TRAPO Intelligent Management System) is also excellent.

Shelf-Ready Packaging: save up to 25% raw material

With the LogiMAT success in their luggage, the TRAPO sales team started off for interpack where, under the motto “Rethinking Packaging Processes”, precise robotic palletizing and depalletizing was performed live with a suction gripper and a fork gripper. The perfect cooperation was perfectly complemented by conveyor technology on two levels and the TRAPO Pack software.

The Eco-Box Packaging System (EPS series), an innovative solution for shelf-ready packaging, celebrated its premiere at interpack. During development, the focus was not only on performance, but above all on the sustainability aspect – with high savings potential for cardboard packaging! The EPS combines the visual advantages of tray lid packaging with the logistical benefits of one-piece secondary packag

At both trade fairs, the TRAPO Hubs equipped with monitors were open: There, the TRAPO team used case studies to answer detailed questions about the overall portfolio from the international audience.

Meanwhile, TRAPO is writing the next chapter in its more than 65-year success story: as early as this summer, the showroom with loading ramp and stage for autonomous loading and unloading with the TLS 3600 will be opened and customers welcomed.
