The perfect team: TTS and TWS in combination

As TRAPO Transport Shuttle (TTS) and TRAPO Warehouse Shuttle (TWS) the driverless transport systems cooperate with each other – and achieve maximum performance in this combination. The TTS, as a flexible hand-over unit, takes over in-house goods transport – and hands it over to the TWS in the high-bay storage area.

Mobile power: TRAPO Transport Shuttle (TTS Series)

The TTS Series presents itself as highly flexible: TTS approaches conveyor lines and takes over individual loads or loads on load carriers, for example pallets. The particular advantage: TTS are flexibly adaptable to production processes.

The variants and superstructures are geared to individual customer requirements: TTS are complemented by lift function, conveying systems or robot. Overall dimensions, energy transfer- and storage as well as drive and navigation can, on demand, be combined as desired.

Systematic high-bay storage: TRAPO Warehouse Shuttle (TWS SERIES)

One or several TWS take over products or complete load carriers such as pallets in the high-bay shelf storage area. The TRAPO Warehouse Lift (TWL) receives a TWS in order to store and retrieve in the storage lanes via a rail system at different levels.

The TWS covers three metres per second at an acceleration rate of 1.5m/s² and completes the cycle of driving out, gripping and driving in in a maximum of three seconds.

Between the shelves of the high-bay storage are corridors in which the TWS function. They are controlled through the lane with the assistance of the TWL in order to load and retrieve products or load carriers at different levels.

Mobile revolution with 6 axes: TTS Series with HRI robot

With the flexible TTS plus HRI robot, TRAPO AG as a partner for industrial automation makes visions of the future for production come true: the highest possible mobility of the TTS Series on the one hand, combined with a safe, collaborating robot on the other, which works directly with humans.

The application of the mobile, collaborating robot also includes tailor-made grippers.

The combination offers enormous added value, because the mobile HRI robot relieves the strain as an additional hand of the employee exactly where it is needed: It conveys, (de-)palletizes, forms perfect layers and packages.

The mobile HRI robot orients itself on the way and in the target position via the scanners of the automated guided vehicle system. Nevertheless, it is possible, if necessary, for the HRI robot to measure itself into the correct position with the aid of image processing at the respective workstation before carrying out its actual task. TIM®, the TRAPO Intelligent Management System, takes care of this control as well as maintenance tasks and also provides an overview of the system status.

Optionally supplied with capacitor, lead crystal battery or lithium-ion battery, the mobile TTS can run through up to two shifts in production. An inductive power supply is also available.

  • High payload in relation to reach: for example, the HRI 6-axis robot has a payload of 12 kg with an action radius of 1300 mm; a repeat accuracy of +/- 0.1 mm and is 1 m/s fast
  • 12 kg as permissible weight on the robot hand — when using a suction pad, this corresponds to up to ten kilograms
  • Simple programming of the robot possible by manual guidance of the robot hand
  • TTS, HRI robot plus gripper, gripper changing systems on request
  • The TTS offers optional inductive, autonomous or optical navigation — and thus the widest possible range of applications
