Gescher-Hochmoor. Markus Schultewolter, works manager at TRAPO AG and himself father of three children, gladly assumes the pioneer role: "It is our duty to make our personal contribution in the fight against children’s alarming poverty!" And Daniel Bügener, staff member in Project Management and also family father of three little offspring, emphasizes: "We’re talking about a tiny contribution of a few cents which in total helps to do great things". As the first company countrywide, TRAPO AG, based in Gescher-Hochmoor, supports the initiative "Rounding-up Counts".

To date, donors have exclusively only been able to round-up at the check-out. Now "Germany Rounds-Up" offers a further possibility: With a salary donation, employees and employers can jointly fight child poverty in Germany. Prominent personalities in the whole of Germany are already promoting the donation initiative at the supermarket check-out. Their common goal: mobilize people to round-up cents and thus fight child poverty in Germany effectively and unbureaucratically. With immediate effect, the foundation also offers companies the opportunity to support the initiative effectively.

Donations take place via rounding-up net salaries - a monthly, fixed contribution towards fighting child poverty in Germany. "Simply do good" is the motto of the salary donation. The net salary is rounded-up to the next Euro with costs shared between employee and employer. An idea which is spontaneously supported by many TRAPO AG employees.

With around 220 employees, TRAPO AG has been developing and producing tailor-made solutions in the fields of conveying technology, robot systems and automization for nearly 60 years. "We move your Success" is the company slogan – this time the wave of movement flows through all company divisions if the employees wish to be jointly successful for the good causes.

For TRAPO board member Volker Kugel it is clear: In future, an annual lump sum will be transferred to the foundation for the financing of the charity project – in order to cover administration costs – so that 100 per cent of the donated sums can be passed on to funding projects for needy children in Germany.
